Chocolate-chip Pecan Blondies
When i'm in the mood for a sweet snack that's easy, quick and only requires very few ingredients that I always have stored in my pantry and fridge... My decision is very easy. A few months ago, I had some visitors, I was caught off-guard; then I remembered how easy it was to whip up a batch of these; sweet, chewy with the crunch of the pecans; it's definitely worth having a slice... or two!
Ingredients
-
1 Cup Flour
-
1 Tsp salt
-
1/3 Cup Granulated sugar
-
1/2 cup Light Brown sugar
-
1/2 Cup Chopped Pecans
-
3/4 Cup Chocolate-chips
-
1 large Egg
-
1 Tsp Vanilla extract
-
8 Tbsp butter (melted)
Directions
In a medium bowl, mix all ingredients together until thoroughly combined. Spoon batter into a well-greased 9x3 pan that has been lined with parchment/wax paper (this makes it much easier to remove Blondies after they have been baked)
Bake in a 375-425 degree pre-heated oven for 25-30 minutes (For chewy, gooey Blondies)
For crispy, even Blondies, bake at 325 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan and slicing.
At my house, these are finished before it is completely cooled... where the chocolate chips are just about melted and they are warm and gooey and oh so delicious!!!
