My daughter is only three but I love the idea of having her be responsible enough to organize her stuff. This was indeed a great encouragement.
Girls.... lots of hair clips and bubbles all over the house... Can't help it???
I decided to repurpose the cans I collected from baby's formula... It was such a splendid idea... after my first attempt was successful at making Dry Foods Storage Canisters I was (as we put it in Trinidad) "on a roll" ... Getting crazy with the creativeness.
This, as all the other projects i've posted so far, is very simple and cheap to assemble.
You will need:
2 Cans
Ribbon
Bows/flowers
Spray Paint (I used Black)
Nail Polish
Twine
Crazy glue
Scissors
Gather materials, remove wrappers from cans and scrape off any excess glue or stuck-on paper.
In a well ventilated area (preferably outdoor) evenly paint cans, holding the spray can about 10 inches away.
Let air dry for about 15 minutes before handling.
Measure, cut and wrap ribbon around the base of the can, glue ends in place ensuring that the ends are at the back of the can.

Punch two holes at the top of the lid and tie or stick bow to the top.
Glue flowers or any desired decoration to the tops of the lids.
Read my "how to make a simple bow" tutorial (coming soon).
